Checkerboard Drummer Christmas Wooden Nutcracker 15 in by Wizardi F07M14-36-N01845D

Keep the beat with the Checkerboard Drummer, a wooden Christmas nutcracker by Wizardi — a parade drummer in a tall navy top hat with a gold band and a gold star on red, a white beard and hair, and a red jacket with green sleeves, gold epaulettes and a black-and-white checkerboard front. He plays a gold-trimmed drum with two drumsticks, with red trousers and black boots on a navy base with green and white stripes.

A little collector's folklore: the drummer led every parade and set the pace for the whole regiment, and collectors say a drummer nutcracker keeps the household marching on time through the busy holiday season.

Why this nutcracker: if you love the classic drummer but want something more graphic, the checkerboard front and striped base give him a bold, modern edge. He suits red, green or black-and-white decor, and at 15 inches he is a strong mantel piece.

In the box: one Checkerboard Drummer nutcracker in painted wood with a white faux-fur beard and a drum, packed in a red gift box with a window. A decorative nutcracker, not intended for cracking nuts. Ready to display, no assembly needed.

Complete the guard with the halberdier, musketeer and checkerboard king (F07M14-36-N01845A, B and C). Dust with a soft, dry brush and keep away from moisture and heat. A decoration, not a toy.

Size: 38 cm tall (15 in). Classic Christmas mantel decor, and a festive gift for drummers, musicians and nutcracker collectors.
