Toy Soldier with Christmas Tree Staff Christmas Wooden Nutcracker 15 in by Wizardi F07M6-1C

March into Christmas with the Toy Soldier, a wooden nutcracker by Wizardi — a classic guard in a tall black hat with a silver crest, a bright red jacket trimmed in silver braid with a silver glitter belt, and a fluffy white beard under a curled moustache. Instead of a sword he carries a little green Christmas tree staff dotted with red ornaments, with green trousers, black boots and a green base.

A little collector's folklore: in The Nutcracker, the toy soldiers come to life under the Christmas tree as the clock strikes midnight. Collectors say this one took a piece of the tree with him when he marched off — so he would always know the way back home.

Why this nutcracker: if you love the traditional toy soldier but want something a little more festive, the Christmas tree staff makes him instantly recognisable as a holiday piece. His red and green colours are pure Christmas, and at 15 inches he looks great on a mantel, by the fireplace or under the tree.

In the box: one Toy Soldier nutcracker in painted wood with a white faux-fur beard and a Christmas tree staff, packed in a red gift box with a window. A decorative nutcracker, not intended for cracking nuts. Ready to display, no assembly needed.

Stand him with the other characters in the series (F07M6-1B king), or flank the fireplace with a pair of classic soldiers and red and green ornaments. Dust with a soft, dry brush and keep away from moisture and heat. A decoration, not a toy.

Size: 38 cm tall (15 in). Classic Christmas mantel and fireplace decor, and a festive gift for nutcracker collectors and toy soldier fans.
